About Us

My name is Alex Wyatt (they/she). I am the Co-Founder/ Youth Group Leader for Island Queers. I came out as a non-binary lesbian in 2020. In addition to being a voice for the LGBTQ+ community, I am also a dog walker and preparing for my dog training certification. As Island Queers expands, I'm excited to learn from and support others in the LGBTQ+ community.

My name is Neyssa Carrellas (she/her). I am the Co-Founder/ Program Director/ Young Adult Group Leader for Island Queers. I came out as a lesbian in 2018. In addition to supporting and advocating for the LGBTQ+ community, I am also a bartender. I love meeting new people and getting to know them. Emotional Support Animal

River is an energetic Silver Lab that loves to meet new people. Her latest endeavor is becoming an emotional support animal. If needed, she will provide support by having one on one time with attendees. She will also give support by being a positive light and something to look forward to in addition to our community support. She is well-trained in obedience and plans to compete in obedience and agility competitions next year. River uses special commands that were designed for her to ensure better communication. All commands and safety information will be listed below as well as explained at future sessions. Remember to treat our furry friend with respect and kindness.
